I Love The Big Squeegee - Signs101.com

I just wanted to shout it to the world that the Big Squeegee is a career saver. After having Carpal Tunnel Surgery on both wrists this year I was thinking that I would have to give up my sign business and concentrate on the Quarter Midget parts business. I just got the Big Squeegee in today and I can say that I can now mask and laminate without the pain in my wrist. It is so easy to use.

A must have for anyone with any symptoms of CT.

I just got started cutting vinyl a few weeks ago for a large personal project. The design, cutting and weeding was not really a problem for me. My biggest problem was applying the transfer tape. I could not for the life of me get the tape to apply wrinkle free which made the application of the decals a nightmare, or ruined them so I had to re-cut and weed.

... I got my Big Squeegee on Tuesday and after a very short learning curve (15 minutes), I have been able to lay down the application tape with near perfection on everything I have tried. I no longer dread applying the application tape to my cut vinyl. I can't really say that it is fun to use but it certainly gets the job done easily and correctly. ... the Big Squeegee is my tool of choice. The ease, speed and confidence it gives me was money well spent. It seems almost fool proof, which is exactly what I needed. Thanks Dale!

Hi Dale,

We were curious about time savings so we timed it. On lamination it took just under 2 minutes to sheet cut, put on table, tape in place, cut laminate (our laminate is on a roll dispenser so we just roll it out, tape the far end along with the print by slightly staggering and cut the end near the roll) and apply. The other way which is a wet laminate application it took right at 3 minutes to do the same and with two of us. It is nice not to have to do a wet application on the laminate application. On laying down prints it is much faster, if I could roll the print up faster it would be amazing. Sheet cut to applied it took us about 1 minute 30 seconds on the 24 inch by 30 inch prints. The old way was about 4 minutes 30 seconds and we had to mask it. We did not time masking with and without the Big Squeegee or applying cut lettering.

We have used the Big Squeegee to laminate & apply 24" x 30" prints, we had 200 prints to apply (100 signs double sided)....We like it a lot better than the old method and it makes a 2 man job a 1 person job, for example on applying the laminate usually we have one person hold the cut laminate while the other peels the backing and sprays it with application fluid, which is not necessary with the Big Squeegee. ...

I got this thing today called the Big Squeegee and I was extremely surprised at how well it worked.
I was able to flood coat 12x24 magnets and 18x24 pieces of colorplast with almost no effort and no bubbles.. Works good for laminating, taping and applying vinyl as well.

This is the first day I have had this thing and I already love it... :)

...I would recommend your pruducts to anyone outside my selling area...those near me should avoid this like the plague.

-) I have a tool I can use that does not take up any space and allows me to do the work of a much larger dedicated piece of equipment. It does not replace the need for the dedicated equipment, but will complement it in the future.

-) By having the ability to laminate/mask materials manually and in-house, I have time to acquire the funds to purchase the correct equipment for my needs, instead of purchasing a cheaper unit and upgrading in the future.
